We are looking for an exceptional Surgical Tech to join our practice!

Location & commitments
FT/PT/Temp/PRN role based at our Greenville location, Monday-Friday, 7a.m. - 3 p.m. Early and late hours required.
Overtime may be required to ensure patients are taken care, tasks are completed, and calls are returned in a timely manner.
Weekend work is rare but can occasionally be necessary.
Supervision Received: Reports to the QEC Nurse Supervisor; QEC Clinical Manager.
Supervision Exercised: None.
Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients.
- Manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
- Visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.
- Ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and extensive bending and standing.
- Ability to deal effectively with stress.
Typical Working Conditions:
Frequent exposure to conditions common to a clinic environment, including exposure to bodily fluids.
About the role
This is a full-time position. Staff assigned to this position will assess patients, plan, implement, evaluate, and record professional nursing care given to patients as well as supervise and evaluate care administered by other members of the health team to post anesthetic patients.
Responsibilities:
- High level like RN duties minus IVs and responding to post anesthesia health crises
- Provides the GI Doctor with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner. Ensures the scope is hooked up and functioning adequately.
- Assists with all aspects of room turnover, including cleaning rooms between cases with correct aseptic technique and instrument/equipment processing.
- Assist with handling specimens: Obtaining, Labeling, Transporting and Verifying.
- Cross train as scope washer.
- Transport patients if needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager, Nurse Supervisor/Charge RN, Physician and/or Administrator.
Candidate requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology program required.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider required.
- Surgical Technician Certification from NBSTSA, NCCT, or NHA highly desired.
- Must have experience as a GI Tech or Surgical Technologist and strong knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols.
- Must have experience and knowledge of an EMR system and strong documentation skills.
The ideal candidate will also:
- Be confident in clinical decision-making and autonomous in providing care to patients in a fast-paced clinical practice setting.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proactive in discussing case management.
- Possess excellent time management and have ability to work well with patients and their families, collaborating/supervising physicians, facility staff and leadership.
- Display a professional demeanor and recognition of privacy considerations for patients and families, maintaining strict confidentiality in all times.
